Shackled Psyche

A two-form flower boss — the Death Flower Thanatos and the Life Flower Eros — where every mechanic runs through the petal counter above your head.

The boss of Shackled Psyche has two forms: the Death Flower, Thanatos, and the Life Flower, Eros. The whole fight runs on one resource — the petal counter above your head — and every phase is a different way of managing it. Drafted from the mechanics overview below; power gates and exact HP thresholds still need confirming in the live client.

Petals — the core mechanic

2 Dangerous3 Mechanics6 Tips

Every player has a three-petal flower icon above their head. Every boss hit adds petals — different attacks add different amounts — and your current petal count decides your debuff. The debuff table depends on which form the boss is in.

Death Flower (red) petals

  • 1 petal — no effect
  • 2 petals — burns you over time
  • 3 petals — the flower blooms

Life Flower (yellow) petals

  • 1 petal — no effect
  • 2 petals — you cannot deal damage to the boss
  • 3 petals — the flower blooms

Cleansing orbs

While the boss is in Death Flower form and you carry a red petal debuff, yellow orbs appear on the ground. Picking one up removes one petal.
Watch outIf you have no petals at all, picking up an orb gives you its debuff instead of cleansing. Only grab one when you actually have petals to shed.

Bloom

At three petals the flower blooms: a zone forms around you, then explodes and pulls you into another world. Inside, drag the big orb into small orbs of the same color — eat three to escape.
Watch outIf the big orb touches you inside the bloom world, you die. Stay alert while steering it.

Calyx

After the boss loses some health it summons a small flower, the calyx. To solve it, change your petals to the opposite color of the calyx.
NoteThe calyx returns later in the fight and is always solved the same way.

Twin formations

1 Dangerous1 Mechanic

HP: 700 HP 500 HP

At 700 HP the boss summons two formations, one on each side of the map. The petals inside each formation keep increasing over time — your job is to stop them from filling up.

Feed petals into the formations

Pick up one or two petals from the map and carry them into a formation to reduce its petal count. Entering a formation with no petals gives you a petal matching that formation’s color instead.
Watch outNever carry three petals into a formation — you will bloom and explode.

Life Flower — Eros

1 Dangerous3 Mechanics

HP: 500 HP 100 HP

At 500 HP the boss changes into its Life Flower form. Remember the yellow debuff table: at two petals you deal no damage, so keep your counter low.

Sword mark

The boss marks a random player: a sword icon appears above their head and a red zone under their feet. If you are marked, run to the edge of the map — that keeps the burn zone away from the team so everyone else can keep dealing damage.
Watch outA marked player who stays in the stack burns the whole team out of the damage window.

Second calyx

The boss summons another calyx. Solve it the same way as before: flip your petals to the opposite color of the calyx.

Three formations + chasing orbs

Next the boss summons three formations. While you solve them, each formation spawns orbs that chase a random player. If one is chasing you, kite it — lead it away from your team so it never blocks the players solving the formations.
TipThe orb can switch targets mid-chase. If it swaps to you, call it out to your team right away.

Final mechanic

1 Dangerous1 Mechanic

HP: 100 HP 0 HP

At 100 HP the boss unleashes a map-wide attack that knocks out every player, turning everyone into an orb.

Kite your orb out

When you are turned into an orb, simply kite it to remove the effect and get back into the fight.
Watch outThe red orbs outside the map respond very fast — do not drift toward the edge.
