Old School RuneScape content creator Coxie has finished collecting all 71 pets in the game on an account made specifically for the challenge, announcing the achievement on October 14, Dexerto reported. The run took three years, nine months and 23 days from account creation, with 273 days and 20 hours of total playtime, or 6,572 hours.
Coxie had already collected every pet on his original account, Malfoy. For this attempt he started a fresh account with no stats, items or in-game currency, to see how quickly the collection could be completed from scratch. His rules barred transferring money or equipment from his other accounts, accepting donations and borrowing items, though he could use alternate accounts and pay other players with gold earned on the new account to speed up some activities.
Pets are collectible companions earned through activities such as defeating bosses and training skills, and many are rare drops that can take thousands of attempts. Coxie's 71st and final pet was Beef, which came after 565 kills of the early-game boss Brutus.
He documented the attempt in a YouTube series that began in 2023, describing it as a way to combine the progression of a fresh account with the efficiency of a speedrun. Announcing the finish on X, he called it the "WORLD RECORD FASTEST ALL PETS COMPLETION."
Dexerto noted that Jagex has not acknowledged the record, and that it is unclear whether Coxie will keep the collection complete as new pets are added to the game.
