Apex Legends Season 30 reworks Bloodhound and overhauls looting

Respawn is replacing Bloodhound's ultimate, cutting loot sources across the map and adding Corrupted Attachments that trade drawbacks for stat gains.

Respawn Entertainment is rebuilding one of Apex Legends' launch characters and rewriting how players gear up, as the battle royale enters its 30th season. Dot Esports reports that Bloodhound, one of the six Legends available on day one, is receiving a reworked kit including an entirely new ultimate, while Loba and Rampart pick up smaller buffs and the game's loot economy is trimmed back.

Bloodhound's rework

Bloodhound keeps their identity as a tracker, but every part of the kit has been tuned. The passive now renders a clearer glowing trail in place of simple movement marks. The White Ravens that lead Bloodhound toward nearby enemies fly further and no longer require a scan or a physical interaction to trigger; a look is enough to set them in motion. The tactical scan has been extended into a longer full-body scan with follow-up snapshot scans, keeping tagged opponents visible for longer.

The ultimate is the largest change. Beast of the Hunt, which pushed Bloodhound into a solo hunting frenzy, is replaced by the Allfather's Cloak. The new ability cloaks teammates within its range and grants them increased movement speed and threat vision. Allies who leave the area stay cloaked for a period afterwards, but taking damage or firing a weapon removes the effect — shifting the ultimate from a personal power spike to a squad-wide one.

Loba and Rampart receive speed-focused adjustments rather than reworks. Loba's ultimate cooldown is shorter and her tactical now travels further and faster. Rampart moves more quickly while wielding her minigun ultimate, Sheila, and her Amped Cover deploys faster and absorbs more damage before breaking.

Fewer loot sources, and Corrupted Attachments

The looting pass removes extended and weapon supply bins, which had served as class benefits for Support and Assault Legends, strips loot from wildlife such as Storm Point's spiders and prowlers, and changes how arsenals and loot bins reset over the course of a match.

By removing unnecessary clutter like specific bin types and wildlife loot, we're clearing the path so you can spend less time organizing and more time engaging.

Weapon attachments are changing alongside them. Corrupted Attachments pair an upgrade with a stated drawback and display exact stat figures rather than the vaguer descriptions of the existing system. Respawn's example is a Corrupted Stock for the Triple Take that cuts magazine size by one round while raising rate of fire, reload speed and handling. Only one Corrupted Attachment can be fitted per weapon, and the developers say they are rarer and appear more often as a match progresses.
