Battlefield 6 update 1.4.1.5 fixes a crash that had been affecting players on Nvidia graphics cards, PC Gamer reports. The update went live on Tuesday, Aug. 4.
The crash appeared in three specific situations: changing attachments on the SOR-300SC carbine, using the custom server search, and, in the wording used by the game’s own communications account, playing on maps with large bodies of water. Reports surfaced shortly after the previous Nvidia driver release, and RTX 50-series owners were said to be particularly affected.

The problem was prominent enough that the Battlefield Comms account posted a separate note about the fix rather than leaving it inside the patch notes.
Please note that crashing issues regarding NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs have been fixed for tomorrow's 1.4.1.5 update.
While the problem was live, the Battlefield Comms account had advised affected players to roll back to Nvidia driver version 596.49. PC Gamer notes the practical consequence of the fix: anyone who took that advice should now bring their drivers back up to date.
Bad timing for a water bug
The crashes landed at an awkward moment. Battlefield 6 had just added Tsuru Reef, the largest map in the game and a return to naval combat for the series, released as part of a Top Gun crossover. A map built around open water was an unusually poor match for a crash more likely to occur on maps with large bodies of water.
What else is in the update
EA describes 1.4.1.5 as a smaller quality-of-life update focused on improving reliability, presentation and moment-to-moment gameplay. Alongside the Nvidia fix, Battlefield Studios reports changes to deployment, aiming, water transitions and vehicle behaviour, plus fixes to a number of UI, loadout and customisation issues.
The rest of the patch concentrates on map and Portal polish, addressing visual, interaction and audio problems across multiple maps and within Portal, the game’s community creation mode.
