Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone Season 5 Reloaded is scheduled for Thursday, August 20, 2026 at 9am PT / 11am CT / 5pm BST on all platforms, Dot Esports reports. The mid-season update lands one day before Modern Warfare 4 early access opens on August 21 for players who pre-ordered.
The headline addition is Rex Infernus, the final round-based Zombies map and the finale of the Black Ops 7 Zombies storyline, in which the crew confronts the Warden. Dot Esports says the map introduces the Web Mother Elite enemy and the Deathspinner, alongside a new Titan Trap, the Widow's Wine Perk-a-Cola and a Fully Packed Ultra GobbleGum. Its Mystery Box can also yield the TR2 marksman rifle and Olympia shotgun legacy weapons.
Multiplayer and Endgame
Multiplayer gets Turbo Tilt, a small map built for 6v6 and 2v2 and modelled on the Nuketown Turbo Era Rampage pinball machine hosted by Archie Atom. Freerun: Descent adds a course whose challenges reward a universal camo, XP and several cosmetics, and Cranked Moshpit returns as a limited-time mode with a rotating playlist of Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Hardpoint and Demolition.
Endgame stays free to play through the end of Season 5. The mid-season patch continues the Burn Run Assignment, which sends players racing through dozens of flaming checkpoints while knocking over enemies and obstacles and collecting power-ups against the clock. Three Burn Run tracks are in Season 5 Reloaded — Old Arsenal, High Town and Low Town — each carrying a different Combat Rating 45 recommendation and rewarding Power plus a random reward.
Warzone
Black Ops Royale returns to Avalon, and Loaded Resurgence arrives as the featured weekend limited-time mode. Resurgence adds the Quickdrop Kit, which reduces a squad's redeployment time, and in both Battle Royale and Resurgence players can shoot down the Special Delivery Drone for a chance at a new camo.
The Mace melee weapon is being added across all primary modes, with the RK-9 Calibrated Strike System and Peacekeeper MK1 Gauss Accelerator attachments arriving as weekly challenge rewards. Dot Esports also lists several events for the second half of the season, including the Last Call Event and its event pass, the Freerun: Descent Challenge, and season-ending Ranked Series Events for Black Ops 7 and Warzone Ranked Play.
