Blizzard retunes WoW's Season 2 Mythic+ dungeons and trims two timers

The latest pass shortens Temple of Sethraliss and The Blinding Vale and rebuilds the Avatar of Sethraliss soak.

Blizzard has published another round of Mythic+ tuning for World of Warcraft's second season, touching eight dungeons in the rotation. The changes were detailed by Wowhead, and the heaviest revisions land on Ruby Life Pools and Temple of Sethraliss.

Two dungeons get shorter clocks. Temple of Sethraliss drops from 33 minutes to 32, and The Blinding Vale falls from 31 minutes to 30. Both are reductions rather than extensions, which raises the pace groups need to hold to time a key in either dungeon.

Ruby Life Pools

Melidrussa Chillworn loses 6% of her health but gains a faster ability schedule, and her Chillstorm now runs seven seconds instead of nine while dealing 10% more periodic damage. Kokia Blazehoof gains 7% health. Thunderhead moves the other way, shedding 13% health while its Rolling Thunder loses 19% periodic damage and Electrical Discharge drops 11% impact and 14% periodic damage.

Several trash packs are tougher. The Earthbound Guardian, Ashseer Flamelasher and Storm Warrior each gain 10% health, and the Storm Warrior's Thunderous Stomp hits 10% harder. Blizzard also removed a Ravenous Descendant from the patrolling pack near the final totem in Altar of Fangs, alongside a Primal Serpent near the second and third totems.

Temple of Sethraliss

The Avatar of Sethraliss encounter sees the most structural work. Corruption Burst now only fires when players fail to soak, and the soak window itself has been cut to 4.5 seconds from 12. In exchange, a failed soak costs far more: Corruption Burst's base damage is up 150%, though the vulnerability it applies drops to 100% from 150%. Corruption's healing reduction per stack falls to 33% from 50%.

Cleansed Lifeforce now restores 2% of the Avatar's maximum health rather than 5%, and ticks every two seconds instead of every one. Siphon the Weak heals slightly more, at 0.7% of maximum health. Elsewhere in the dungeon, the Twisted Hexxer's Latent Hex hits one target instead of two and now prefers to target the healer, and the Faithless Subjugator's Addle Mind casts over five seconds rather than four.

The rest of the rotation

Voidscar Arena changes how its buffs persist: Proof of Master and Proof of Endurance are now permanent until players leave the instance, but their potency drops to 3% from 5%. In Murder Row, Kystia Manaheart's Destabilized raises damage vulnerability to 115% from 100%. Kings' Rest sees the Wretched Discharge on its mummies lose 25% periodic damage, while the Shadow of Zul's Pool of Darkness gains 10% cooldown.

Den of Nalorakk and The Blinding Vale receive smaller adjustments, several of them clarity fixes rather than numbers. Blizzard updated the direction visual on Lightwarden Ruia's Lightfire Beams to snap to the ground and cut its area trigger to 1.5 yards from 2, improved the impact visual on the Thorny Saptor's Hunting Leap, and added a directional indicator to Merektha's Burrow in Temple of Sethraliss.
