CD Projekt has confirmed the global unlock times for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Remastered. The studio set them out in a social media post, IGN reported: the remaster goes live on September 29 at 12pm in Poland, where CD Projekt is based, and every other region is tied to that Central European time.

Platforms and upgrades
The remaster launches on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and Nintendo Switch 2, and is a free upgrade for owners of the base game. It is also being sold on PC through Battle.net for the first time.
Pre-purchase is open on Switch 2 and Battle.net, which IGN said are the only genuinely new versions because The Witcher 3 had not previously appeared on either. On GOG, Steam, Epic, Xbox and PlayStation the remaster arrives as an update to the existing game, so there is no preload on those platforms.
IGN listed the changes as enhanced combat, improved traversal and movement, new effects for witcher signs, revamped mount handling, altered monster behaviours, a reworked skill tree, transmogrification, an expanded photo mode and new finishers, alongside visual and performance work. The launch comes before Songs of the Past, the game's third expansion, which is due in 2027.
An official comparison clip released this week drew a split response, according to IGN. The footage shows Geralt casting Igni on drowners in the swamp, and while the remaster carries more detail on his armour and more defined water, some players said the reflections looked worse than in the original.
