Pearl Abyss has rolled out update 1.12.00 for Crimson Desert, expanding the game's housing customization with dozens of new exterior decorations while also introducing fresh crafting equipment, combat tweaks, and a raft of technical fixes.
Dressing Up the Outside of Your House
The headline addition in 1.12.00 is a new layer of exterior customization for player housing. Pearl Abyss has added 58 collectible items players can place around the outside of their homes, spanning Sotdaes, fountains, braziers, and wells alongside lights, carpets, hanging pots, and music boxes. Automata toys and dedicated pet furniture are also part of the set, giving players considerably more room to personalize their properties beyond the interior options that already existed.
New Crafting Stations Open Up
Crafters get more places to work in this patch. A new Workstation has been installed at the Hernand Timberhand Saw Mill as well as at the Greymane camp, while a Loom has been added at the Hernand tailor shop. The additions let players process materials without having to travel back to more central hubs.
Damiane and Oongka Gain New Abilities
Damiane and Oongka have picked up a set of new capabilities in this update. Both can now equip the Visione item, mount the Blackstar dragon, and read memories, expanding how they can be used during exploration and story sequences. They've also gained access to the Nature's Snare skill and now trigger their own special loading screens.
Combat and Boss Retries Get Smoother
On the combat side, players can now chain attacks together while sliding, adding a new option for keeping up pressure in fights without breaking momentum. Pearl Abyss has also addressed a quality-of-life gap around boss encounters: retrying a boss fight now preserves the weapon selection, elemental choice, arrows, food, and consumables the player had equipped going in, removing the need to reconfigure a loadout after every failed attempt.
Fresh Gear and Bestiary Entries
The update brings new equipment into rotation, including Greymane Light Armor for Kliff, five new helmets, Honorary Cloth Gloves for Damiane, and a new accessory called the Greymane Signet. Pearl Abyss has also expanded the in-game knowledge system with four new entries covering Exploding Bismuth Spiders, Jar Back Crabs, Darksworn Armor Spectral Soldiers, and a character named Jared.
Interface and Stability Improvements
Beyond content additions, 1.12.00 cleans up several interface issues. Settings navigation has been reworked for easier access, collectibles tracking has been improved, a bug affecting minimap enemy icons has been fixed, and players now have font size options to adjust readability. On the technical side, Pearl Abyss says the update resolves a number of crashes, improves overall performance, fixes landing issues, corrects NPC behavior problems, and clears blockers that had been interrupting progression for some players. Update 1.12.00 leans into housing customization and quality-of-life fixes rather than major new story content, but the boss-retry loadout fix and the expanded functionality for Damiane and Oongka stand out as practical improvements. With crafting stations now positioned closer to spots like the Hernand Timberhand Saw Mill and Greymane camp, Pearl Abyss looks focused on smoothing out everyday friction points as Crimson Desert's post-launch support continues.
