Daulet “dako” Ondassynov set a new Counter-Strike 2 record for kills in regulation, posting 40 in 24 rounds against Total Domination on LAN at BRO Cyber League Season 1, HLTV reported on September 2. The 22-year-old Kazakhstani rifler passed both the online and the LAN marks that stood before it.
The previous record belonged to Alex “poiii” Nyholm Sundgren, who posted 39 kills in an online match against Zero Tenacity in September 2024. That total broke the record of 38 kills Danil “donk” Kryshkovets had set on LAN the week before. HLTV's list of the largest regulation hauls also carries a 37-kill LAN performance by poiii against AM.
dako's game came in Game Point's third-place decider in Almaty. He went into the second half of Mirage with 23 kills and six deaths, and his team turned a 6-6 score at the break into a 12-10 lead. The record covers regulation only, and his 40 kills came across the 24 rounds played before the map went to overtime.
On 38 kills and 12 deaths, dako had the chance to tie poiii's mark with a single frag in a 2v1 that would also have won the map and the series, but he lost the duel and his remaining teammate could not convert. He took two more kills the following round to move to 40 and set the record. Game Point went on to lose the map in overtime and then faltered on the decider, losing the third-place match.
dako now holds the CS2 record for most kills in regulation both overall and on LAN, taking the online mark from poiii and the LAN mark from donk in the same game. HLTV noted that it had excluded Aleksandr “zorte” Zagodyrenko's 39 kills in an online match from its ranking because they came in a streamer tournament.
