DENDELE closed out Stage 1 of BLAST Bounty 2026 Season 2 by beating FURIA 2-1, taking Anubis 13-6, losing Mirage 6-13 and edging Cache 16-14. HLTV reported the July 24 result as the latest in a run of upsets in the tournament's online bracket.
The Brazilians were playing their first series under their new name, which HLTV reports followed a recent organisation partnership. On their own Anubis pick they set the tone immediately: HLTV credits Máximo "maxxkor" Cortina with a strong defensive showing that helped the team take seven rounds on the less-favoured side, and they closed the map out 13-6 from there.
FURIA levelled the series with what HLTV calls a straightforward win on Mirage, but the decider went to overtime on Cache, the newest addition to the active map pool. The 16-14 scoreline means the map ran beyond regulation before DENDELE took it. HLTV reports Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo, at a 1.20 rating, and Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato, at 1.05, were the only players on the FURIA side to finish the series with a positive rating.
Earlier in the day, 3DMAX beat magic in a close series in which recent signing Jeremy "Kursy" Gast topped the server at 1.42. The revamped The MongolZ roster then got past HEROIC in an equally tight match: HLTV reports Usukhbayar "910" Banzragch starred across the series, while new recruit Dugarsuren "DarkMeister" Ireedui turned the double-overtime Dust2 decider with 36 kills and a 1.39 rating to keep the team in the tournament.
The day also removed one of the pre-event favourites, with Liquid beating Vitality 2-0 to end a run of 24 consecutive events with a playoff appearance. Sixteen teams remain in the tournament, and HLTV reports the next round of matchups is set by BLAST Bounty's usual draft format rather than a seeded bracket.
