The International 2026 main event is set to begin on August 20, with eight teams competing in a double elimination bracket, according to Dota 2 — Steam announcements. The teams competing are Team Vision, Team Liquid, Nigma Galaxy, Team Falcons, BoomBoys, Team Spirit, Iron Wing, and Team Yandex.
The main event will take place at the SPD Bank Oriental Sports Center in Shanghai, with the first series starting after the opening ceremony on Thursday, and matches beginning at 10 AM on subsequent days. Fans attending the event can participate in meet and greets with teams and talent, and can also purchase merchandise from the on-site Secret Shop.
For those unable to attend in person, the event will be streamed on multiple platforms, including Twitch, YouTube, and Steam, in multiple languages. The online Secret Shop will also be available for fans to purchase merchandise.
