According to MassivelyOP, Dune Awakening's single-player mode is now available for public testing on the game's public test server. This mode allows players to survive on Arrakis alone, with options for customization, including resource harvesting rate multipliers, sandstorms and sandworms spawns, and base durability.
MassivelyOP reports that the single-player mode features a character-centric experience, including a characters tab for all created characters, a new cave environment at the main menu, and the ability for multiplayer characters to change servers. However, single-player characters cannot be converted to multiplayer characters.
The update also includes various improvements and updates to the game, such as improved world streaming and overall performance, instant base reconstruction in Hagga Basin South, and the removal of spice melange requirements for multiple endgame buildables, as noted by MassivelyOP.
