The latest season for eFootball has launched, according to Video Games Chronicle, with version 6.0.0 of Konami's free-to-play game rolling out to mark the start of the new 2026/27 season. This update includes new features such as a Custom Tournament mode and gameplay improvements, with the full patch notes available.
One notable addition to the game is a new daily mini-game created by PlatinumGames, the studio behind Bayonetta and Nier Automata, as reported by Video Games Chronicle. This mini-game, called Daily Super Play, can be played once a day and rewards players with bonus content if they are successful.
In Daily Super Play, a player is chosen at random from a special player list each day, and an animation of them scoring a memorable goal is played, according to Video Games Chronicle. Players must press a button or tap the screen in time with an icon on the screen to properly perform the move, similar to a rhythm action game.
