FaZe are through to the semi-finals of BLAST Bounty Season 2 after a 2-1 win over The MongolZ, taking Nuke 16-12 and Ancient 13-8 either side of a 7-13 loss on Mirage.
The opening map turned on one of the more dramatic swings of the event. The MongolZ led Nuke 12-3 before FaZe won thirteen rounds in a row to force overtime and eventually close the map out.

How the series played out
Nuke split cleanly along CT sides. The MongolZ trio of Zolbayar "tikuak" Chimedtseren, Dugarsuren "DarkMeister" Ireedui and Usukhbayar "910" Banzragch drove the first half, before Jakub "jcobbb" Pietruszewski, Jason "JBOEN" Boe Nielsen and David "frozen" Čerňanský took over after the switch. FaZe started overtime on defence, posted a perfect 3-0 CT side, and Ryan "Neityu" Aubry clutched the round that sealed the map and completed the thirteen-round run.
The MongolZ responded on Mirage, and did so with the same aggression that had built their Nuke lead. Garidmagnai "bLitz" Byambasuren and tikuak pushed their T-side out to a 9-3 half, and although FaZe took rounds back after the switch, the recovery was cosmetic and never threatened the result.
Ancient proved more straightforward. JBOEN produced two significant man-down rounds to put FaZe in front on their offence, carrying the team to a 9-3 half. A force-buy win gave The MongolZ an opening in the second half and their faster pace caught FaZe out on a couple of occasions, but a run of JBOEN multi-kills settled the defence and closed the series.
The result is FaZe’s second semi-final appearance since signing JBOEN, who topped the scoreboard across the series and was, per HLTV, particularly influential on the decider. The MongolZ, meanwhile, exit having held a thirteen-round advantage on the opening map and never recovering the initiative once it was gone.
