Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 closes with Sprite Spree Week, a five-day run of boosted sprite spawn rates that begins on Saturday, August 15 and lasts until the end of the season, Polygon reported. Each day raises the odds for a different set of sprites.
The event opens at the same time as the Unstable Story Moment, the season's live event, with Mythic Hours running from 2 to 4 p.m. EDT. Sprite hours usually come in two sets, but the graphic Epic Games released does not list a second window; based on past events it would fall between 9 and 11 p.m. EDT. Epic has not published official start times for the remaining days either, though previous sprite days have begun at 9 a.m. EDT and run for 24 hours.
Sprite Spree Week schedule
- Saturday, August 15: Mythic Hours, 2-4 p.m. EDT, with a second unconfirmed window expected at 9-11 p.m. EDT
- Sunday, August 16: Galaxy Hours, from 9 a.m. EDT for 24 hours
- Monday, August 17: Holo Hours, from 9 a.m. EDT for 24 hours
- Tuesday, August 18: Cube Hours, from 9 a.m. EDT for 24 hours
- Wednesday, August 19: Gem Hours, from 9 a.m. EDT for 24 hours
Outside the Saturday Mythic windows, the bonuses stack beyond spawn rates. Players start every match with a Lucky Sprite Locator, earn double sprite XP and pay no sprite dust cost for the duration. Epic's teaser image for the event also shows a campfire, suggesting sprite XP can be earned while resting at one.
The timing matters because sprites carry over into Chapter 7 Season 4 as cosmetics, making the final week of the season the last chance to fill out a collection at improved odds rather than at standard spawn rates.
Start times outside North America
The first Mythic window falls at 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. PDT on the west coast of North America, 3 to 5 p.m. BRT in Brazil, 7 to 9 p.m. BST in the United Kingdom and 8 to 10 p.m. CEST in western Europe. It rolls into Sunday, August 16 further east, landing at 3 to 5 a.m. JST in Japan and 4 to 6 a.m. AEST on Australia's east coast.
The daily Galaxy, Holo, Cube and Gem windows are expected to open at 6 a.m. PDT, 10 a.m. BRT, 2 p.m. BST, 10 a.m. JST and 11 a.m. AEST, each running for a full day.
