Fortnite's Forsworn Trooper skin unlocks only at Disneyland and Disney's Hollywood Studios

The Star Wars outfit is handed to riders of Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run whose Epic account is linked to Disney Experiences.

Fortnite has added a Star Wars cosmetic that can only be unlocked in person at two Disney theme parks, IGN reports. The outfit, called the Forsworn Trooper, is an in-game reward for visitors to the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run attraction at Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California, and at Disney's Hollywood Studios near Orlando, Florida.

The unlock runs through the account link between the two companies rather than through an in-game purchase or challenge: it depends on an Epic Games account being connected to Disney Experiences data. Players who are not travelling to either resort have no alternative route to the skin, which IGN expects will remain one of the rarest Fortnite outfits ever released, though it stops short of calling it rarer than Rue.

The outfit itself is a modest design. It is apparently meant to look like scavenged pieces of Stormtrooper armour, finished with a cloak hood and goggles, and IGN jokes that Jonesy may be the character underneath it.

The park reward arrives alongside Star Wars: Smuggler's Gambit, a Fortnite experience that extends the Smugglers Run ride into the game. As on the attraction itself, players are divided into pilots, gunners and engineers and have to keep the Millennium Falcon flying, with Hondo anchoring the story. IGN played it ahead of release.

It seems to be a clever way to either extend your theme-park experience outside of Disneyland's walls and into your home, or vice versa.

Fortnite has run Star Wars crossovers repeatedly, tied to The Rise of Skywalker, to The Mandalorian and Grogu, and to various Disney+ launches. The park-exclusive skin follows Disney's $1.5 billion investment in Epic Games in 2024, which is also meant to produce a dedicated Disney mode in Fortnite later this year. Epic has kept the details of that mode under wraps, although IGN cites one report suggesting it will use extraction shooter gameplay similar to Arc Raiders.
