Fortnite’s Unstable Story Moment, the live event closing out Chapter 7 Season 3, begins at 2 p.m. EDT on Saturday, August 15. It sets up the launch of the next season, Override.
Unlike the separate playlists Epic has used for some previous events, Unstable takes place inside a Battle Royale match. Players who want to watch it live have to queue into a regular game rather than joining a dedicated mode, which makes the start time a hard cut-off rather than a window.

Getting into the match in time
Polygon advises readying up several minutes early to clear matchmaking, and heading for an area near the Zero Point at the centre of the map. Damage is disabled roughly five minutes before the event begins, so players who are already on the island at that point can watch it through without being eliminated.
A Mythic Sprite Power Hour follows once the event ends, running for two hours in total and making it easier to catch any mythic rarity sprites still missing from a collection.
Chapter 7 Season 3 itself ends on August 20, with downtime scheduled to start at 4 a.m. ET.
