Forza Horizon 6's Series 4 update adds sign language cinematics and 47 EventLab props

The August 10 patch also clears garage, livery and car bugs that had survived since launch, and adds a Time Attack circuit that disappears on September 10.

Forza Horizon 6's Series 4 update arrived on Aug. 10 across Xbox Series X|S, the Xbox app on PC and Steam, bringing a set of permanent additions alongside the seasonal Horizon Mascot Party Festival Playlist that went live on Aug. 13. Dot Esports, in its rundown of the patch, listed sign language support for cinematics, a temporary Time Attack circuit, 47 EventLab props and fixes for bugs that had survived since launch.

Sign language and screen reader work

Cinematics can now be accompanied by an American Sign Language or British Sign Language interpreter, shown in a picture-in-picture window. Both options are enabled in the Accessibility menu, and the window can be repositioned on screen and have its background colour changed. Forza Horizon 5 already had the feature, which made its absence from Forza Horizon 6 at launch conspicuous; it lands four Series in. Screen Reader users get three fixes in the same patch: missing Wheelspin prize names, cut-off descriptions on the What's Next? screen, and the reader stopping entirely after the ANNA tutorial.

Edamame Time Attack Circuit and EventLab

The Edamame Time Attack Circuit is a temporary lap-time location inside the Horizon Stadium, decorated for the Mascot Party theme and available only while Series 4 runs, from Aug. 13 to Sept. 10. It works like the other Time Attack circuits around Japan: set a lap, then measure it against a Convoy, the next rival and the global top three, with leaderboards resetting each season. Seasonal extras around it include a limited-time Shimanoyama Heat collectible, a Dango outfit, two player badges and three new car horns — Fus-Roh-Dah, Mascot and Pinball Machine.

EventLab creators receive 47 new props. Most follow the mascot theme: nine flags, nine billboards, nine cutouts, nine barriers and an inflatable Curry Rice mascot. The rest are more generally useful, including four Pit Garage variations, a bike, a covered scooter, a sports motorbike, a plastic crate, a plastic container and a plant box, plus summer variants of existing props. Compatible props also work in Customizable Garages and Estates, and locally saved EventLab events can now be deleted.

Bugs cleared

  • The incorrect "Garage Full" warning after receiving a new Car Pass vehicle, and the related inability to remove cars once the garage genuinely was full
  • Buying a vehicle from a Car Meet no longer wrongly unlocks its livery, and Creative Hub thumbnails for cars using custom liveries load properly
  • The 1972 Nissan Patrol and 2022 Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica no longer stop dead after hitting certain kerbs
  • An incorrect power-to-weight ratio calculation, alongside new stock exhaust audio for the 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio
  • Wheels load correctly on the aftermarket 1990 Subaru Legacy RS, painting the 1994 Ferrari F355 Berlinetta no longer dents the bodywork, and raindrops no longer appear inside cars in cockpit and dashboard cameras

Chapter 6 of the Moto Auto Zine Stories, Shibuya Showstopper, can also now be completed without owning the Yellow Wristband.
