Siege Camp has laid out what Foxhole's update for Tuesday, August 18 contains, a patch for the semi-persistent war MMO that reaches flight, weather forecasting and a long list of interface changes, MassivelyOP reports. The changes are split across three areas, and most of the individually listed items are quality-of-life work rather than new content.
The largest of those groups sits in the interface.
UI and quality-of-life changes
- An ammo indicator for equipped infantry weapons, plus an icon showing which ammunition type a gun uses
- Keybinding updates, including replaceable keybinds for controlling large ships
- Squad storage at refineries
- The ability to see starting conditions from the State of the War tent in a home region, rather than through third-party announcements
Several of those are information changes rather than feature additions. The State of the War entry in particular moves details players previously had to collect from third-party announcements into the game itself, at a tent in their own home region.
Changes for pilots
Aircraft take the largest share of the new content. Packaging aircraft is more stable, including on odd terrain; scout pilots can equip pilot masks to improve the role; and border lines are visible while airborne. The patch adds one new plane, the Daimon aK-5 “Harpy”, and brings updates to the existing Rinnspeir Mk I “Zealot”.
Elsewhere, coastal guns gain the ability to fire on large ships, and two connected weather stations can now provide forecasts covering distant regions, a change aimed at making aerial sorties easier to arrange. The studio also repeated its commitment to keep working against cheaters.
What comes after August
The August 18 patch is Foxhole's next minor update rather than a major one. Siege Camp says a smaller update in late September will continue refinement, and that the year's next major update, due at the end of 2026, will bring new features and content to the game. The studio has also said it is working on what to add in 2027, though it has not given firm details on any of it.
