Microsoft announced the second wave of September's Xbox Game Pass additions on Xbox Wire on September 15. The list covers 12 games arriving in September and two more in early October, including day-one launches of Minecraft Dungeons II and Gears of War: E-Day.
RuneScape: Dragonwilds was the first to arrive, joining Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium and PC Game Pass on September 15 across cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The rest of the schedule, according to Xbox Wire, is as follows:
- September 16: Marvel Cosmic Invasion, Planet of Lana II, Routine and Ultimate Sheep Raccoon
- September 17: Kernel Hearts (day one) and Ninja Gaiden 4
- September 22: Dune: Awakening and Well Dweller (day one)
- September 23: Mad King Redemption
- September 25: Call of Duty: Black Ops 6
- September 29: Minecraft Dungeons II (day one)
- October 2: Keeper
- October 6: Gears of War: E-Day (day one)
Several of the older titles, including Marvel Cosmic Invasion, Ninja Gaiden 4 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, are moving into the Game Pass Premium tier, while the day-one releases are limited to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. GameSpot noted that Dune: Awakening's September 22 arrival coincides with its full launch on PC and console, a version that carries over its early access improvements and adds a complete single-player mode. Rematch also joins Game Pass Essential on September 25.
Leaving September 30
Eight games are scheduled to leave the service on September 30: Atomfall, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, Little Nightmares 2 Enhanced Edition, Little Rocket Lab, Sifu, SOPA Tale of the Stolen Potato, Sworn and Terminull Brigade. GameSpot reported that Microsoft removed 10 games earlier in the month, bringing September's total removals to 18.
The Xbox Wire post also listed updates for games already on the service. An EA Play early access trial for EA Sports FC 27 opens on September 18, and Sea of Thieves Season 21 begins on September 17 alongside a free play weekend running September 17 to 21 that requires no subscription. Brawlhalla gets a Game Pass benefits pack on September 17 that includes a Hattori skin, a Hattori Legend unlock and a weapon skin.
