Genshin Impact players have found an in-game bulletin-board post in the role-playing game’s 7.0 update that reads as a parody of US President Donald Trump, Polygon reports.
The 7.0 update added a great deal to the open-world game, Polygon writes, including Snezhnaya, the last of its major regions. Despite the size of the release, the outlet says it did not take players long to find the post, which is attributed in-game to Grand Duke Diomid Turzov and complains about vandals who defaced his fountain by peeling off its paint.
In the notice, the Grand Duke first boasts about the scale of the fountain he built, describing it as:
the most beautiful fountain in all of Snezhnaya
A self-inflicted disaster
By the post’s own account, the damage was the Duke’s doing. Polygon summarises the sequence as follows:

- Jellyfish-like Tigalda fouled the fountain’s water
- He painted the bottom of the fountain, which attracted still more of them
- He poured a large quantity of bleach into the water, which cleaned it
- The excess bleach caused the paint to peel
- He blamed outsiders for sneaking in at night and tearing the paint away
The Duke calls the bleaching a historic victory, dismisses the peeling paint as fake news, accuses thugs from Rokot of the damage, and closes by saying he will hire the toughest warriors money can buy to guard the fountain.
Polygon writes that the Duke’s cadence, as much as the specifics of the complaint, makes the target of the parody clear, and connects the post to a recent controversy involving Trump and the Reflecting Pool. The outlet frames it as a jab at the president from developer miHoYo.
Polygon’s report carries no comment from miHoYo on the post, and does not say whether the text is scheduled to change in a later patch.
