Konami has revealed the English voice cast for Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, and part of the list is built out of actors who have played these characters before. Graham McTavish returns as Dracula, a role he voiced across Netflix's Castlevania series between 2017 and 2021, according to Dot Esports.
Alejandra Reynoso also reprises her Netflix role as Sypha Belnades. Liam O'Brien returns as Isaac, a part he first played more than 20 years ago in 2005's Castlevania: Curse of Darkness. Netflix's version of Isaac was voiced by Adetokumboh M'Cormack and differed substantially from the game character. Belmont's Curse is set 20 years after the events of Curse of Darkness, which is the continuity O'Brien is returning to rather than the animated one.
A new Belmont leads the cast
Three performers are carrying roles over from previous Castlevania productions. The rest of the cast is new to its parts. Abby Trott leads the game as Rose Belmont, the daughter of Trevor Belmont, and Trevor himself is voiced by JB Blanc rather than Richard Armitage, who played the character opposite Reynoso's Sypha in the Netflix adaptation.
Konami named five further members of the cast: Ray Chase as The Fallen, Erica Lindbeck as Joan of Arc, Melique Berger as Medusa, Dawn M. Bennett as Carmilla and Aaron LaPlante as Death.
Belmont's Curse is set in Paris in 1499, 23 years after the events of Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse. Trevor is still alive and still fighting monsters, but Rose is the protagonist, taking up the Vampire Killer as creatures pour into the city from Dracula's castle.
Rose can use weapons drawn from seven categories alongside Relics, and bosses she defeats become Arcana that unlock additional spells and abilities. The game returns the series to its exploration-focused 2D format. Evil Empire is developing it, with Dead Cells studio Motion Twin serving in an advisory role.
Castlevania: Belmont's Curse launches on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC on October 15.
