A fundraiser for a 25-year-old content creator waiting on a lung transplant has passed $53,000, after videos he posted about wanting to live long enough to play Grand Theft Auto 6 spread widely on TikTok, IGN reports.
The creator, who goes by Void Only on TikTok and is identified in coverage by his first name, Jerry, has posted music and gaming videos since 2022. IGN reports that he has been treated for interstitial lung disease since he was 17, and that his condition has progressed to the point where he requires a lung transplant. In a recent video, filmed with an oxygen tube audible, he said he would remain in intensive care until a transplant becomes available.
The GoFundMe page was set up by his parent, Paris Fort, with an initial goal of $15,000 to help the family through the year. IGN reports that the page stood at $53,151 at the time of its article, citing Dexerto. The money is intended to cover the financial burden of the operation and what may be a lengthy recovery period.
The response followed a video captioned "Rockstar and their delays man…" that carried on-screen text reading "I just want to play GTA VI". IGN reports the video drew millions of views and 1.9 million likes, with commenters pledging to buy him the game. In a later video, he thanked people who had donated and said he intends to stream Grand Theft Auto 6 if he comes through the surgery.
Grand Theft Auto 6 is currently scheduled for November 19, 2026, after several delays. Rockstar Games has an Extended Look presentation for the game scheduled to air on Netflix later this month.
