GTA 6 Resume Leak Points to Unannounced Character "Ellis" — but Rockstar Hasn't Confirmed It

An apparent resume update from actor Brett Gipson briefly listed a Grand Theft Auto 6 role — a supporting character named Ellis — before the entry was removed. Rockstar Games has not confirmed the part or any details about it.

An Actor's Resume Points to a New Character

The listing surfaced on Gipson's profile on ActorsAccess, a casting platform, which reportedly showed a Grand Theft Auto 6 credit under the character name Ellis before the reference was taken down. Beyond the name, little is known about who Ellis is meant to be. No official Grand Theft Auto 6 marketing has mentioned the character, and there is no confirmation that Ellis appears in either of the two trailers Rockstar has released. Gipson is also set to play Sabretooth in Marvel's Wolverine, a separate role unrelated to the GTA 6 claim.

Part of a Wider Trend of Resume Sightings

Gipson is not the first performer linked to the game this way. Several other actors have had their names tied to Grand Theft Auto 6 after fans spotted resume updates, some of which were later scrubbed. Those previously linked include Katie Burke, Ignacio Navarro, Massi Furlan, and Jim Santangeli, who has acting credits in Red Dead Redemption 2, another Rockstar title. None of these connections have been confirmed by Rockstar, and what roles the actors may play, if any, remains unknown.

Rockstar's Confirmed Cast Remains Limited

Rockstar typically keeps casting details under wraps until close to a game's launch, or even after release, which leaves room for resume-based sightings to circulate ahead of any official word. So far, the only confirmed Grand Theft Auto 6 characters are protagonists Jason and Lucia, along with previously announced supporting figures Cal Hampton, Boobie Ike, Dre'Quan Priest, Real Dimez, Raul Bautista, and Brian Heder. Ellis and the other resume-sourced names sit outside that confirmed list. Until Rockstar speaks to it directly, Ellis and the other resume-linked names are best treated as unverified leads rather than confirmed cast. Given the studio's track record, a full character reveal likely won't come until much closer to release.
