Players in Australia can no longer use the Diamond Casino and Resort in Grand Theft Auto Online. Dexerto reports that as of July 28 the casino's games and its daily lucky wheel are inaccessible in the country, leaving Australian accounts unable to do anything inside the venue.
The restriction puts Australia alongside a short list of territories where the casino has long been limited. Dexerto names Greece, South Korea and Qatar, where local rules on gambling and in-game loot boxes mean players can watch others gamble but cannot spin the daily wheel themselves. The Diamond Casino opened to players in 2019, several years after it first appeared as a locked building in the game world.
What players lose
The most concrete consequence is the lucky wheel. Its top prize is the Lost Slamvan, which Dexerto describes as the rarest car in GTA Online and which is obtained through the spin rather than bought. With the wheel closed off, Australian players have no route to it. Buying and selling casino chips reportedly still works, which one player quoted by Dexerto called "next to useless" without the games to spend them on.
Players flagged the change on social media and the GTA Forums, and some reported that it extends beyond Grand Theft Auto Online: according to Dexerto, card games in Red Dead Online have also stopped working for Australian accounts.

No stated reason
No official explanation has been confirmed. Dexerto reports that players have linked the change to the online safety and age assurance rules Australia introduced in March, and cites one player, DarkVipeAU, speculating that the removal may be pre-emptive and that access could return for adults if an age verification system is put in place. That remains speculation; for now the casino is closed in the country.
