Rockstar Games has revealed the Kortz Center Heist for GTA Online, marking the first entirely new heist added to the game since the Cayo Perico Heist debuted back in 2020. The art-theft job arrives July 14 and sends players chasing after valuable paintings in a multi-stage operation that Rockstar says is built for repeated play.

Meeting the Crew and Covering Tracks

The job puts players in league with two new characters, Mr. Faber and Raf De Angelis, who bring them in on a plan to steal prized artwork. Alongside the heist, the update lets players purchase an Art Studio for their in-game property. Once it's installed, a "gifted counterfeiter" moves in and gets to work producing forgeries. Those forged paintings can then be swapped in for the originals once they've been stolen, giving crews a way to cover their tracks after each job.

Scope It Out, Gear Up, Strike

The heist unfolds in stages rather than a single mission. Players first scope out the target location to figure out how to slip in undetected, then gear up before carrying out the theft itself. Rockstar is pushing a stealth-first approach here, encouraging players to leave no witnesses behind and to wipe CCTV footage as they move through the job. The heist can be tackled solo or with a team of up to three other players, capping crews at four total. Rockstar also designed the Kortz Center to be more than a one-and-done experience. Rather than a single fixed target, three new paintings will be available to steal each week, keeping the heist in rotation long after launch. The studio has pointed to substantial variability in how each mission can be approached, meaning players won't necessarily run the same route or strategy twice, which adds to the heist's long-term replay value for solo players and crews alike.

New Vehicles and the Road to GTA 6

The July 14 update extends beyond the heist itself. It adds new vehicles to GTA Online, along with additional upgrade options through Hao's Special Works. GTA+ subscribers get an extra incentive to log in on release day, too: the Grotti Veleno GT will be available to claim for free as part of their membership. The update lands as the community's attention increasingly shifts toward GTA 6, which Rockstar has scheduled for a November 19 release on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Some fans anticipate that Rockstar could share further details on the long-awaited sequel as early as August, though the studio has not confirmed any such plans. With its stealth-driven structure, weekly rotating targets, and new counterfeiting mechanic, the Kortz Center Heist gives Rockstar another way to keep GTA Online's live-service audience engaged as the countdown to GTA 6 continues to build.
