Gumayusi's play across the grand final earned him Finals MVP honors, with a clutch showing highlighted as the deciding factor when the series was on the line. The win also carried significance for two of his teammates: Zeus and Zeka became the first players to win all three of Riot's international tournaments.

MSI 2026 results carry weight beyond the trophy itself. The LCK's title secures the region a fourth seed at this year's World Championship, with direct qualification straight to the main stage. The LPL, as the tournament's other grand finalist region, also earns a fourth Worlds seed, though that berth will have to be won through the Play-In stage rather than granted as a direct slot. The two regions continue to sit alone atop the international scene: no team from outside the LCK or LPL has reached an international grand final since 2019. With the MSI trophy back in Korean hands for a third consecutive year, Hanwha Life Esports can point to a roster carrying genuine international pedigree in Zeus and Zeka and a Finals MVP turn from Gumayusi delivered under maximum pressure.
