Hearthstone's Heroic Brawliseum charges 1,000 Gold and pays 50 packs for a 12-win run

Hearthstone's Heroic Brawliseum has returned as this week's Tavern Brawl, a paid-entry format that pays out packs, dust, gold and golden legendary cards rather than the single Standard pack a normal Brawl awards, Esports.gg reported.

Entry costs 1,000 Gold or 1,000 Runestones. After paying, players build a Standard deck and take it into a run against other entrants. Rewards scale with wins, a run ends at 12 wins, and three losses eliminates the player regardless of how many wins they have banked.

What a full run pays

A 12-win run returns 50 card packs, roughly 1,100 Arcane Dust, roughly 1,100 Gold and three golden legendary cards. Smaller win totals pay proportionally less, and the entry fee is not refunded.

Deck considerations

The current expansion is Escape From Violet Hold, and entrants should expect opponents leaning on its mechanics and cards. The straightforward approach is to bring whatever deck is already performing on ladder, then tech against the archetypes that deck struggles with.

Among the decks players are running at Legend rank, Hearthstone-Decks.net lists Quest Mage, Two-Bit Rogue and Herald Rogue. HSReplay also has Quest Mage as a popular pick, with Face Hunter, Corpse Death Knight, Azalina Priest and Zee Shaman posting high win rates.

The three-loss cap is the constraint that separates Heroic Brawliseum from the standard weekly Brawl. A deck with a poor matchup against a popular archetype can end a run before the entry fee has been earned back, which is why checking the Standard meta before locking in a list matters more here than in a free Brawl.

Decks are submitted with deck codes, which can be pasted in at the deck creation screen once the Brawl has been entered.
