Imperial have named Marcos "tacitus" Castilho as the head coach of their Counter-Strike team, the organisation announced. The 26-year-old fills the position left vacant by Rafael "zakk" Fernandes, who departed in mid-June.
tacitus had been without a job since February, when he was dismissed by Fluxo after almost two years in charge. Fluxo subsequently replaced him with Gustavo "Juve" Alexandre, who is best known for his time coaching Into the Breach.
He inherits a Brazilian roster whose season began strongly and then flattened out. With Guilherme "saadzin" Pacheco in the line-up, Imperial won their first two tournaments of the campaign, taking CCT 2026 South America Series 3 and the Thunderpick World Championship 2026 South America Series 2.
Results have tailed off since. HLTV reported that Imperial finished second to Fluxo at BetBoom RUSH B Summit Season 4, lost to BESTIA Academy in the round of 16 at CCT 2026 South America Series 4, and placed fifth-sixth in the South American closed qualifier for StarLadder StarSeries Fall.
One of those results carries an added note for the incoming coach: the team that beat Imperial to the BetBoom RUSH B Summit Season 4 title was Fluxo, the organisation that dismissed tacitus in February after almost two years in the role.
The roster tacitus takes over
Imperial have been without a permanent head coach since zakk left in mid-June. The team tacitus inherits fields five active players, with two more on the bench:

- Kaiky "noway" Santos
- Guilherme "saadzin" Pacheco
- Guilherme "levi" Gustavo (benched)

The appointment ends a coaching vacancy that had run since zakk left in mid-June, and returns tacitus to a head coach role for the first time since his exit from Fluxo six months ago. Imperial did not say what changes, if any, he intends to make to the active five.
