FIFA Heroes, a new five-a-side arcade football game developed by Solace in partnership with FIFA, is now live on mobile worldwide, and YouTube personality IShowSpeed is among the playable characters in its launch roster.

What FIFA Heroes Is

FIFA Heroes puts a fast, condensed spin on football. Matches are played five-a-side in real time against other players and last just two minutes each, a sharp contrast to football's traditional 90-minute match length. Players climb a ranked ladder as they string together wins, and the game leans heavily on its cast: every character comes with unique abilities and a distinct playstyle, and those abilities can shift the outcome of a match on their own rather than simply reflecting standard football skill. The game launched globally on iOS and Android on June 24, 2026. Versions for PC and consoles are planned, though Solace has not attached them to a specific release window yet. Pairing a shortened match clock with real-time competitive play and character abilities positions FIFA Heroes closer to a pick-up-and-play arcade sport than a football simulation, and the ranked system gives players a reason to keep queuing beyond a single session.

A Roster Mixing Pros, Mascots, and Creators

Instead of building its launch lineup solely around licensed footballers, Solace mixed in mascots and online personalities alongside professional talent. Professional players Enzo Fernández and João Pedro are both playable at launch, joined by the FIFA World Cup mascots Maple the Moose, Zayu the Jaguar, and Clutch the Bald Eagle. Content creators J Balvin, Central Cee, and Luva de Pedreiro round out the roster. IShowSpeed slots in among them as a playable character with his own ability set, a notable addition given his large YouTube following and his recent visibility around football content. The spread of names on the roster, from World Cup mascots to chart-topping musicians, underlines that Solace and FIFA are treating FIFA Heroes as a crossover product first and a straightforward football game second.

Built Around a Different Idea of Football

Game director Andy Tudor framed the two-minute format as a deliberate break from the traditional match structure rather than a simple mobile shortcut. "Football has never been confined to 90 minutes...We've built a game for that," Tudor said. Bringing IShowSpeed into FIFA Heroes lines up with his broader push into official World Cup territory this year. He recently released a World Cup anthem, "Champions," which FIFA added to its official soundtrack, and separately struck a deal to stream select World Cup matches, including the final, on his YouTube channel. With mobile servers open and PC and console versions still to come, FIFA Heroes' launch roster is an early signal of how Solace and FIFA intend to pair licensed football names with internet-famous faces to draw in a broader, faster-paced audience than a traditional football game might reach on its own.
