Konami has partnered with Japanese collectibles maker Gecco on a new piece of merchandise built entirely around one of Silent Hill 2's most talked-about secrets: the Dog Ending. The statue, priced at ¥32,000 (roughly $197 USD before shipping), originally released in Japan and is currently available through retailers.
Built Around a Fan-Favorite Twist
The Dog Ending is a secret conclusion to Silent Hill 2 in which protagonist James Sunderland — who spends the game searching for his late wife, Mary — discovers that a Shiba Inu named Mira has been behind the game's events all along, a reveal that leaves him questioning his own reality. The moment became a beloved meme among fans and is remembered as one of the series' most iconic surprises. Konami and Gecco's statue puts Mira front and center, recreating her seated on a stool in her "caught" pose. The figure is adjustable, letting owners display her fully seated on the stool or with her paws resting on its edge.
A Piggy Bank With Details Fans Will Recognize
Beyond the dog herself, the statue includes an elaborately detailed control panel, complete with colorful switches, lights, small TV screens, and a map bearing the faces of James and Mary. The panel isn't just decorative — it also functions as the statue's coin storage, making the whole piece a working piggy bank as well as a display object.
Price and Availability
The Mira piggy bank carries a price of ¥32,000, or about $197 USD before shipping, and originally launched in Japan. It's currently available through retailers for fans looking to add it to their collections. Its release comes at a time when Silent Hill 2 remains in the spotlight, with a remake of the original game having also been released in recent years. For fans who still bring up the Dog Ending whenever Silent Hill 2 comes up, Konami and Gecco's statue offers a way to keep the moment on a shelf rather than just in screenshots. Between the posable figure, the detailed control panel, and its double life as a piggy bank, the collectible leans fully into the joke that turned a horror game's darkest corners into one of its most cherished surprises.
