LA Thieves have rewritten Call of Duty League history, stringing together 14 consecutive series wins to surpass the previous record of 12 held by Atlanta FaZe. The milestone arrived at CDL Major IV, where Los Angeles sealed the mark with a victory over the Carolina Royal Ravens in their first match of the tournament.
A Record Built Across Multiple Events
The streak did not emerge from a single dominant run — it accumulated across four separate stretches of competition. LA Thieves claimed five wins in the Major III lower bracket, added five more across Major IV qualifying play, swept through Minor 2 with three victories, and then opened Major IV by knocking off the Royal Ravens to reach 14 straight. Atlanta FaZe had owned the previous benchmark of 12 consecutive series wins, a mark they reached first in 2021 and matched again in 2024. Los Angeles has now cleared that bar by two.
FaZe Vegas and OpTic Among the Victims
The streak was tested against some of the league's most recognizable opposition. LA Thieves defeated FaZe Vegas three times and knocked out OpTic Texas twice in finals during the run. Those two franchises represent some of the most decorated organizations in CDL history, lending added weight to what Los Angeles has put together.
A Roster-Wide Turnaround
The story behind the roster makes the streak more striking. Tyler "aBeZy" Pharris — one of the CDL's more established names — was reportedly on the verge of being cut as recently as Major II. Instead, he has become part of a lineup that now owns the longest win streak in league history. The four players carrying the streak are aBeZy, Paco "HyDra" Rusiewiez, Jeremiah "Nium" Harrison, and Thomas "Scrap" Ernst.
Nium's Historic Rookie Campaign
Of the four, Harrison has drawn particular attention. The rookie, competing under the tag Nium, entered the CDL and promptly accumulated 31 series wins — a record for first-year players. He also captured a Major championship in just his second attempt at competitive play at this level. For a player still establishing himself in professional Call of Duty, the numbers place him among the most impactful debut seasons the league has seen. LA Thieves arrived at Major IV not just as a contender but as the standard by which CDL consistency is now measured. With 14 wins in a row and a roster that has gone from roster-change speculation to record-setting, Los Angeles has changed the conversation around what sustained excellence looks like in professional Call of Duty. Whether the streak continues at Major IV remains to be seen, but the record is already theirs.
