Lil Wayne arrived in Fortnite on September 12, joining the game’s Icon Series roster of music artists, Esports.gg reported ahead of the launch. The collaboration followed an earlier tease posted by the Grammy winner.
The crossover reached the Item Shop when it reset at 8 p.m. EDT on September 12. Two outfits are included: a shirtless appearance closer to the rapper’s usual look, and a second, more formal version. Esports.gg reported that the cosmetics carry the "YM" insignia of Lil Wayne’s Young Money record label, and that a Skateboard Pickaxe and Glider reference his skateboarding.

The bundle runs to a full Festival-season cosmetic set rather than a single skin.
- Two outfits and two Back Blings
- Two emotes and one emoticon
- One pickaxe, one glider, one wrap and one loading screen
- Three Fortnite Festival Jam Tracks: "6 Foot 7 Foot", "A Milli" and "Lollipop"
Epic Games also scheduled a Weezy Icon Cup for the same day, following the pattern of recent Fortnite collaborations that let players earn the cosmetics without buying them. The tournament covers both Zero Build and Battle Royale, with the same prizes on offer in each mode.
Players who reach at least eight points in the Weezy Icon Cup receive a Lil Wayne emoticon, and those who finish top of their region win the Lil Wayne outfit and Back Bling outright. The cup was set for September 12, the same day the cosmetics hit the Item Shop.
Leakers cited by Esports.gg reported that Lil Wayne had been lined up to headline Fortnite Festival Season 15 before Lil Tecca took the slot.
