Lost Ark's latest update, released on September 16, adds a new class called the Dimensionalist and changes how characters progress from Tier 3 into Tier 4, MassivelyOP reported.
The Dimensionalist
The Dimensionalist is a Specialist class built around bending space to control the battlefield, and MassivelyOP described it as one of the patch's mainline attractions. It is gender-locked as a male character. The update also adds items for the new class, along with new achievements and titles to earn.
Progression changes
The patch revises several steps on the path from Tier 3 to Tier 4:
- Advanced honing now begins at Tier 4 instead of Tier 3.
- Clearing the South Kurzan quest line now grants a set of Tier 3 gear meant to take characters straight into North Kurzan.
- Honing-related Stronghold research has been removed.
- Unlocking specific Weapon Effect Book stages through Tier 3 honing has been removed.
- The Powerpass has been simplified to boost a character to item level 1660, so boosted characters now start at that item level.
Tier 3 also received broader adjustments, including changes to trade skills and content rewards, lower material requirements for advanced honing, and tweaks to the growth shop.
Beyond the class and the progression work, the update brings several new and returning events, adjustments to Paradise Season 4, new Guardians in Guardian's Shade, and a set of bug fixes. In addition, players receive a pair of update gift packages that bundle materials, consumables, and keys.
