Amazon Games has announced another round of Lost Ark server merges, covering both the North American and European regions, MassivelyOP reports. The announcement went out overnight and names NA East and EU Central; the two regions are being handled separately rather than merged into each other.
Starting on August 26, we will be conducting a server merge in both NA East and EU Central. This will happen in two phases, with the first round of merges beginning on August 26.
By the end of both rounds, the game will run five western servers across NA East and EU Central, down from the 12 it has today.
What it means for characters
For most players the change is procedural. Anyone whose roster of characters sits on a single one of the affected servers only needs to log in to the new server once the merge is done. Players who hold a roster on both servers being combined will have those rosters merged into one.
Amazon and Smilegate are using a categorisation system to decide what overrides what when characters from two servers are blended, and point players in that position to the merge FAQ rather than describing every case in the announcement.
What to clear before August 26
- Claim all outstanding Ark Pass and event rewards
- Use up any remaining card XP
- Clear out the auction hall and the currency exchange
The studios also flag that the list of things that merge has grown since the last round, now including Paradise, Lounges and Honor, so players who prepared for an earlier merge should not assume the same checklist applies.
Server consolidation is a recurring exercise for Lost Ark’s western service rather than a one-off, and this round follows earlier waves. Amazon did not attach a date to the second phase in the announcement, saying only that the first round begins on August 26.
