MLBB's MSL Thailand Season 2 gives its champion a choice of routes to M8

The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Super League Thailand (MSL TH) is back for its second season, which began on September 11 and runs to October 18, 2026, serving as the qualifier that decides which Thai teams move toward the M8 World Championship, esports.gg reported.

The regular season runs across 15 match days from September 11 to October 11, followed by live, on-stage playoffs from October 16 to 18. Ten teams are competing:

Champions' Choice

The Season 2 winner receives the Champions' Choice privilege: the right to pick between a place at the M8 World Championship Wild Card in Bangkok and a place at the MLBB SEA Championship Tour (MCT SEA). If the champion takes the Wild Card slot, the second- and third-placed teams represent Thailand at MCT SEA. Otherwise, the choice passes to the second-placed team, and to the third-placed team if necessary.

Thailand will have two representatives at MCT SEA: one qualifying through MSL TH and one holding a host-country slot. The country hosts the inaugural MCT SEA in December, ahead of the M8 World Championship Wild Card in Bangkok, marking the first time the country hosts an M Series event.

MCT SEA gathers leading Southeast Asian teams into a single regional qualification pathway for M8. Its top two teams qualify directly for the M8 main stage in Istanbul, Türkiye, while the third- and fourth-placed teams advance to the Wild Card in Bangkok.

Hao said MSL TH, MCT SEA and the M8 Wild Card will help connect Thailand's local talent with the wider Southeast Asian and global MLBB esports scene, as the game enters its 10th anniversary and expands its international esports presence.
