MOUZ are the BLAST Bounty 2026 Season 2 champions after beating Spirit 3-1 in the best-of-five grand final in Malta. HLTV reports it is the organisation's first trophy since PGL Cluj-Napoca 17 months ago, and it arrives at the first event of Oldrich "PR" Novy's return to the Hamburg-based team, having left its youth squad for GamerLegion at the start of January 2025.
The scoreline flattered Spirit for the opening hour. MOUZ took Dust2 and Mirage to move 2-0 up while Danil "donk" Kryshkovets was well below his usual level, managing a 1v3 on the first map but otherwise struggling; Mirage was the first time the 19-year-old had ended five maps in a row with a negative K/D. Ancient, where Spirit carried a seven-map winning streak into the final, was where he returned to form, and the Russian side took it 13-9 to force a fourth map.
Nuke stayed close throughout. MOUZ built a 6-4 lead on the attack before a Five-seveN triple kill from Boris "magixx" Vorobiev turned a 3v5 in the final round of the half, trimming the deficit to 7-5. Spirit levelled at 7-7 after the switch and the two sides were still deadlocked after 20 rounds before MOUZ took control on defence, reaching map point through a Spinx quad-kill against pistols and closing out the series the following round against a low buy.
Nobody beats MOUZ eight times in a row.
That was a pointed remark. Spirit had met MOUZ three times earlier in 2026 — the IEM Krakow third-place decider, the IEM Rio quarter-finals and the PGL Astana semi-finals — and won all three 2-0.
Spinx ends his MVP wait
Lotan "Spinx" Giladi was the engine of the win, topping the scoreboard on all four maps: 1.91 on Dust2, 1.86 on Mirage, 1.16 in the Ancient defeat and 1.41 on Nuke, for a 1.54 series rating. He finished the final with 78 kills, 15 more than any other player, alongside an 89.3 ADR, 81.9% KAST, a plus-4.97% round swing and three Player of the Map awards.
The performance carried him past MOUZ teammate Adam "torzsi" Torzsas in the MVP race. The AWPer had led the way against 3DMAX and Astralis but ended the final on a 1.05 rating, and the pair were separated by 0.02 across the LAN (1.22 to 1.20) and in map wins (1.29 to 1.27), so the award went to the player who contributed more deeply into the tournament. It is a first HLTV MVP for Spinx despite four Top 20 finishes and 17 EVPs, a run in which he played alongside Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut and shared the spoils of MOUZ's PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 title. Online matches no longer count towards MVP and EVP awards from 2026 onwards.
