MOUZ have beaten Astralis 2-1 to reach the grand final of BLAST Bounty Season 2, where they will face Spirit, HLTV reports. The result continues the debut run of the team’s new lineup, though HLTV noted MOUZ gave up several commanding positions along the way.
Astralis opened the series in control on Ancient, converting the pistol round into a 5-0 lead on the T side. MOUZ won a couple of rounds back but left too many chances behind. They started the second half with a 4v3 advantage in the pistol round, only for a Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen triple kill to turn it. Ádám "torzsi" Torzás won a clutch to keep MOUZ in the map before Jakob "jabbi" Nygaard answered with a Five-Seven round and, in the final round, an ace finished with a clutch and a last-second defuse.
MOUZ recover on Mirage
MOUZ started Mirage at pace, racing to 6-1 on the offensive side. Love "phzy" Smidebrant answered with an ace using a saved AWP, and Astralis pulled the half level after MOUZ lost a 3v2 to two retaking AWPs. The second half went the other way: a force-buy round won on an Adrian "xelex" Vincze double kill started a run in which MOUZ took the close scenarios and forced a decider.
On Dust2, torzsi and xelex drove MOUZ to a 10-2 first half, and two rounds after the swap put them on series point at 12-2. Astralis then applied sustained pressure to the B bombsite, where xelex and Lotan "Spinx" Giladi repeatedly failed to close out even advantageous situations, and the lead narrowed sharply before MOUZ finally converted.
HLTV assessed MOUZ as the stronger side across most of the gun rounds, with Astralis leaning on individual performances — jabbi in particular — to take Ancient and keep Dust2 close.
MOUZ will need a cleaner series in the final. Spirit reached the grand final from the other semi-final earlier in the day.
