Nintendo has announced two Switch 2 console bundles for the United States, both of which go on sale after the September price increase takes effect. Each pairs the console with a digital game code and three months of Nintendo Switch Online individual membership.
What is in each bundle
The first pairs Switch 2 with Mario Kart World and arrives in "late September" at $549.99. Nintendo says that price represents a saving of $37.98 against buying the three items separately.
The second launches on October 22 alongside Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, bundling the console with a digital copy of that game for $529.99. Nintendo puts the saving there at $27.98.
The price rise behind the timing
Switch 2 goes up by $50 in the United States on September 1, taking the console to $499.99. IGN reports that the console is rising in price in Canada, the United Kingdom and mainland Europe as well. Nintendo first confirmed the increase in May, apologizing for it at the time and attributing it to "market conditions" and "the global business outlook."
The new bundle pricing is built on the higher console price rather than the old one. Nintendo sold a Switch 2 and Mario Kart World bundle at launch in June 2025 for $500 before discontinuing it; the replacement costs $50 more.
GameSpot has run the arithmetic on whether the bundle is worth waiting for and concludes it is not, at least in the short term. At current prices a Switch 2 costs $450 and Mario Kart World $80, and the outlet notes three months of Switch Online can be had for $8, putting the same combination at roughly $538 today against the $549.99 bundle price from late September.
IGN reports that leaked images of a Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Switch 2 console and Pro Controller appeared online earlier this month. Nintendo has not announced that hardware or given it a price.
