Nintendo will hold a worldwide concert tour for The Legend of Zelda's 40th anniversary in 2027, with legs in Japan, North America, Europe and Australia. The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Concert was announced during The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct on September 8, GameSpot reported.
The presentation opened with an original musical arrangement and revealed the title of the full-length Zelda film before Nintendo composer Koji Kondo appeared to announce the tour, according to GameSpot.
Each regional leg starts on a different date, and Japan has the fullest schedule. Its run opens in Tokyo on January 23, 2027, then continues in Fukuoka in February, Hokkaido in March, and Kyoto and Kanagawa in April. The first announced date in each region is:
- Japan: Tokyo, January 23, 2027
- North America: Chicago, February 22, 2027
- Europe: London, April 3, 2027
- Australia: from May 13, 2027
Chicago is the only North American stop named so far, and the other US locations and dates have not been announced. The Australian leg is the last of the four to begin. GameSpot reported that venues are expected to start selling tickets later in September, and said it expected a clearer picture of the tour's specific venues and dates by then.
From nostalgic tunes to modern melodies, the concerts will feature a variety of music to mark the 40th anniversary.
According to GameSpot, Nintendo has not held an officially licensed Zelda music tour in almost a decade. The outlet's report also noted that The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake is set to launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5.
