paiN have booked their place at the BLAST Bounty 2026 Season 2 LAN Finals, beating Ninjas in Pyjamas in a series that ended 13-6 on Nuke and 16-14 on Mirage. HLTV reports the Brazilian side become the latest team to lock in a spot at the offline stage, winning both maps played and closing the series out without a decider.
The opening map was one-sided almost from the first round. paiN took the Nuke defence 11-1, and HLTV reports that Ninjas in Pyjamas managed a single round in the half, courtesy of a pistol-round ace from Roman "n0te" Hamze. The Swedish organisation found more footing after the switch, according to HLTV, but never brought the map back within reach, and paiN saw out a 13-6 win.
Mirage was far closer, and for a stretch it looked like going the other way. A second-half pistol win put Ninjas in Pyjamas 10-5 up, leaving them within three rounds of forcing a decider. Their attacking side stalled again from there. Rafael "saffee" Costa's AWP drove the paiN comeback into overtime, where HLTV reports the sniper kept up that impact and finished the series with a four-kill round on the B site.
The result is a timely one for paiN. HLTV notes the team had struggled for results in recent weeks and slipped to No. 30 in the Valve Regional Standings after signing saffee, a ranking that had put little between them and the rest of the Brazilian field. Qualification now puts them at the tournament's LAN finals regardless of that slide, and gives the new-look roster its first significant result since the move.
Ninjas in Pyjamas leave BLAST Bounty at the qualification stage and turn instead to the StarLadder StarSeries Fall qualifier. HLTV reports they face magic there for a place at that event later on Sunday, making the next series a second chance at an offline berth rather than a dead rubber.
