Visionary Realms detailed its rework of Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen's Wizard class in an October 24 dev diary, published under the name Fusoya ahead of the changes shipping in the game's November update alongside the Wildbloods content. The studio said the pass touches nearly every spell in the Wizard kit and adds new ones running up through level 50, with the class's core abilities replaced by more destructive versions.
The stated aim is to lean harder into a fantasy of reckless elemental power. In practical terms, the studio said the number of direct damage spells rises from 16 to more than 30, a group that includes area-of-effect options it described as long awaited. It also said the spell codex should be more consistent and better balanced between the elements across all level ranges, giving players more choices per playstyle.
The new spells
The post named several additions. Blazing Tempest calls a storm of flame above the target for repeated Fire damage every three seconds, with its final tick returning 2 Fire Focus. Frostifor channels frozen shards for Cold damage each second for up to four seconds, restoring Mana on every tick. Shattershock deals Shock damage and consumes 3 Shock Focus.
- Ckru-Venoth's Inferno Lance: a lance of molten mana dropped onto the target for Fire damage, consuming 3 Fire Focus
- Mol-Thrane's Storm Arrow: an arrow launched from a mana-wreathed arm for Shock damage, consuming 3 Shock Focus
- Veyrule's Icy Comet: frost shaped into a comet and hurled at the target for Cold damage, consuming 3 Cold Focus
Rethinking Focus
The Focus system itself changed as well. The studio said that under the previous version almost every spell drew on the Focus pools in some way, which locked the class into fixed rotations and punished any deviation with lost damage. The rebuilt system reserves Focus for more deliberate use: the largest spells consume it to hit harder, while many other offensive spells now run on cooldowns instead, delivering steadier damage and restoring Focus or Mana depending on the player's choices.
Mana costs on most offensive spells were also cut, which the studio said gives Wizards more room to reach for their bigger abilities when a fight calls for it. The team framed careful management of both Focus and Mana as the skill that will keep the class effective in longer encounters and let players exercise more control over their damage output, and said it was looking for player feedback once the update lands.
