Visionary Realms consolidated Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen's server list during maintenance downtime on Wednesday, April 9, saying in an announcement that same day that the post-Early Access launch surge had settled enough to justify concentrating players onto fewer worlds.
The studio said it is handling the change through server sharding, a feature it had already demonstrated on Havensong and Black Moon, which allows a server community to expand or contract as the population moves. Visionary Realms was explicit that sharding is an Early Access measure at this stage and that it has not been confirmed for the 1.0 launch. The studio also said fresh start servers would be available in the following weeks for players who want to begin on a new world.
The new server list
Two West Coast servers survive the merge: Havensong, and Ossari, which absorbs Aellos, Khadassa, Korcera, Lynchandrell, Runaway Reef, Syronai, The Sacred Six and Wovarren alongside its own existing population.
On the East Coast, Black Moon remains, and Stormona takes in Aevos, Axecutor, Dark Trade, Ermos, Khaga, Lucent Tree, Revenant and Veil of Azeris in addition to the original Stormona. The remaining entries on the published list are Whispering Lands for Europe, Bakamel for Oceania, and two PvP servers, The Dead Vault and Union of Shadow.
Duplicate character names
Folding several worlds into one creates name collisions, and the studio's fix is automatic in the first instance: duplicated names get an "x" or a number appended. Affected players are entitled to a single free name change, which Visionary Realms said it would process on a first come, first served basis.
The studio asked anyone who finds a letter or digit appended to a character name to open a support ticket, either through its support forums or through the Discord report channel, and to include three acceptable alternative names ranked in order of preference.
