Pantheon’s Druid refresh sets Preserver against Storm Herald

The refreshed Druid commands a living flame called Verdanfire and a companion named Hirode on one path, and Storm Wisps, wind and lightning on the other.

Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen key art

Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen has detailed its Druid refresh, describing a light-armored mystic who communes with the forces binding root, beast, flame, storm and spirit.

The class is positioned as drawing power from intimacy with nature rather than conquest over it. With fragments of other worlds now rooted into Terminus, the land is described as beautiful and treacherous in equal measure, and Druids are revered as visionaries able to look past the fractured terrain and sense the living pulse beneath it.

Two elements define the class. Verdanfire is a living flame that carries both renewal and destruction, able to kindle protective growth, bloom into restorative magic or surge outward as a searing natural force. Many Druids also share a bond with Hirode, a companion whose presence shapes some of their restorative arts. Other Druids instead read the sky, calling Storm Wisps and turning wind and lightning into weapons.

Preserver and Storm Herald

Preserver is the healer path, nurturing life through Verdanfire with Hirode’s aid, while Storm Herald is the spell-damage path built on living storms. As with the game’s other refreshed classes, Druids may hybridize by taking select options from both branches rather than committing entirely to one.

Equipment and skills

The Druid is open to Elf, Halfling, Human and Ogre characters. It wields blunt weapons — mace, hammer and club — along with long staves and scimitars, wears armor up to leather, and can use bucklers. Weapon skills cover Blunt, Sword restricted to scimitars, and Long Staff; combat skills are Shield and Dodge; and spell skills run across Augmentation, Conjuration, Enervation, Evocation, Fortification, Manifestation and Restoration.

The published base ability list leans heavily on nature and shapeshifting. Wild-Eyed Wanderer makes most animals unlikely to attack unprovoked; Beckon Hirode and Hirode’s Flame bring in the companion; Talisman of Regrowth converts incoming damage into healing for the shielded target; and Thorncoat damages attackers. Spirit of the Wolf, Owl and Tiger provide movement, intellect and agility buffs respectively. Treeform roots the Druid in place for high health regeneration while most enemies ignore them, Wolf Form raises movement speed, and Valehawk Form allows gliding. The list also includes Cleanse, the resurrection ability Rebirth, Charm Animal, Vinewoven Bridge, Cloak of Leaves for invisibility, and Stone of the Pass, which teleports the Druid and nearby group members to Avendyr’s Pass.
