Visionary Realms released Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen's November game update on November 19, and the studio led its patch notes with a warning for one class in particular. The Wizard has been substantially revised, with a large share of the class's older spells switched off and replaced by new versions. Players on a Wizard have to return to a trainer NPC and buy most of their spells again. The studio said it has temporarily set prices on the replacement spells very low to reduce the cost of that transition.
Four servers become two
The update also consolidates servers. Veil of Azeris and Blackmoon are folding into Stormona, while Ossari and Bakamel are folding into Havensong. The team said players had reported difficulty finding groups at certain level ranges on certain servers, and that returning player numbers made combining worlds the better way to widen grouping options. Level 1 characters are not being moved.
Because merges create duplicate character names, the studio said conflicting names will be suffixed with a number or one or more X characters. To handle that, the patch adds a /rename command that each character can use once. The studio said a failed attempt, such as one that collides with a name already taken, does not consume that single allowance, and directed players who hit problems to open a support ticket.
World and system changes
On the world side, the Wildmound Cradle in the Silent Plains is now open to characters of level 36 and higher, with the studio advising caution. A high-level event has been switched on in Black Rose Keep; it fires randomly and becomes more likely as more groups adventure in the zone. Gnashura, the Uncounted Prince, can be fought again in his lair in Halnir Caves, though reaching him requires a key that the studio said may take several trips into the dungeon to piece together. Local weather systems were also reworked so they no longer follow players around the map.
Quality-of-life additions include the ability to bind the same key to more than one action, a new Auto Sprint bind on LeftShift that toggles sprinting as well as supporting the old hold-to-sprint behavior, and a Settings menu button that pulls offscreen UI windows back into view without rearranging a player's layout. Encumbrance is now signaled by weight text turning red, macros are capped at 50 lines, halflings gained more hairstyles, and most wraith NPCs now register as undead for spells and abilities that key off that type.
The notes list a long run of bug fixes, among them a chat crash tied to unsupported ASCII characters, several climbing and hanging problems including one that let players end up beneath the terrain, ignored /who filters, pets failing to receive group buffs unless targeted, and merchants refusing service to players with slightly negative reputation.
Itemization saw targeted changes as well. Sovehly's Searing Slippers moved to their own Banshee loot table with a somewhat higher drop chance, so they can now drop alongside rather than instead of other items, and the remaining items in that table had their odds normalized. Tel'Daedras' loot tables were reorganized by item rarity with normalized drop chances, keeping the same total number of possible drops per kill. The studio said endgame itemization will keep changing and credited player data gathering and feedback. Class tuning included longer, stronger Druid snares and a Monk change that pushed Soaring Dragon's cooldown to 20 seconds.
