Visionary Realms dated its next batch of high-level Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen content in a June 4 preview post, telling players to head to Silent Plains on June 11 for the Smoldering Trenches and the neighboring Ashbreather Enclave.
The preview spent most of its length on the fiction behind the areas. The Ashbreathers, the studio said, began as rumor out of the shadowed mountains of Kingsreach, described as pale devotees of a dead dragon. A conflict broke open their mountain tomb and released them, and their consumption of the ashes left behind by that war is said to have stirred a primal power. Over the centuries since, according to the post, they shifted from a feral horde into a rigidly ordered society whose ranks are set by the ash its members breathe.
Visionary Realms said preview screenshots of the content are on the Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen website, and framed the release as a chance for players to learn the civilization's history, inhabitants and secrets.
