Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen activated its mastery system on the public test realm for initial testing during the week of June 5 to 11. The studio said much of the team’s focus went on bringing the system online, and that bugs and issues relating to it are being prioritized highly.

The system went live with initial warrior, paladin and dire lord mastery arrays, with implementation of the healer classes’ arrays underway. Elsewhere in design, the team continued population work for the Sea Dragon Hatchery and the underwater areas of Badia de Cara, applied finishing touches to Port of Rulun NPC placement and pathing while setting up player services, and prepared for NPC placement in Detihauna and Kosa Minor. Tuning and itemization continued across the 1 to 20 content areas.

World and character art

Environment artists completed a polish pass on the Kosa Ull Jungle and Caldera, continued buildout for Detihauna, and carried on the final detail buildout for the Screaming Stones point of interest. Collision and navigation fixes for the Port of Rulun were finished, and concepting continued on the modular elven dwelling kit for Faerthale city and its outlying areas.

Character art added further NPC variations for Badia de Cara named and rare opponents, continued polish work on human jogging and run animations, kept working on ambient life visual effects for Badia de Cara, and continued updating base meshes for all non-robe armor types.

Programming

Programming work covered Mastery UI refinements and bug fixes, and refinements to swimming and underwater physics intended to better support underwater combat. The team continued general bug fixing, itemization data support and market system work, made combat tuning adjustments with the design team based on data and test realm feedback, and held planning sessions for major server updates due later in the year.
