PARIVISION have knocked 100 Thieves out of the Esports World Cup with a 2-0 lower-bracket win, taking Anubis and Dust2 to keep their own run at the tournament alive.
100 Thieves had come through a difficult qualifier bracket to reach the main event. HLTV’s account of the series frames the result as a demonstration of the distance still between them and the tier-one level, with the North American side losing both maps convincingly.
Anubis slipped away after the pistol rounds
Anubis was competitive for the opening handful of rounds. 100 Thieves found some traction on the CT side by playing proactively, taking duels early rather than waiting for PARIVISION to commit. That approach stopped working once full buys arrived: PARIVISION’s methodical default setups absorbed the aggression, and from there they took control of the map and closed it out without difficulty.
A better half on Dust2, then a collapse
Dust2 gave 100 Thieves more to work with in the first half, largely through Jack “Gizmy” von Spreckelsen, whose pushes repeatedly found the timings that disrupted PARIVISION’s offensive rounds. The pattern did not survive the side switch. PARIVISION were, in HLTV’s description, flawless after halftime, and the map ended with 100 Thieves eliminated.
PARIVISION continue in the lower bracket. For 100 Thieves, the run at the Esports World Cup ends here, having reached the main event through the qualifier only to be beaten in straight maps.
