PAX Australia returns to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from October 9 to 11, and several unreleased games will be playable on its Expo Floor, PC Gamer reported. The lineup includes Total War: Warhammer 40,000, Alien: Isolation 2, and the multiplayer of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.
Sega and Activision
Sega will bring four games to the show. Total War: Warhammer 40,000 will be available with three playable scenarios, alongside Alien: Isolation 2, Persona 4 Revival, and Stranger Than Heaven, the noir prequel from the Yakuza series. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4's multiplayer will also be playable at the show, ahead of the game's October 23 launch.
Square Enix and Ubisoft
Square Enix's booth will offer hands-on time with Final Fantasy 14 on Switch 2, along with a bracelet-making station and a themed photo opportunity. FF14 localization director Michael-Christopher Koji Fox and global community producer Toshio "Foxclon" Murouchi will appear on a behind-the-scenes panel in which they take on a hot sauce challenge while sharing stories from the game's development. Attendees will also get an early look at Final Fantasy 7 Revelation at a dedicated showcase.
Ubisoft's Community Esports stages will host Rainbow Six Siege competitions, an Assassin's Creed sea shanty singalong, the Ubisoft Cosplay Runway, and a Just Dance-Along, among other events.
Beyond the major publishers, the show's PAX Rising indie showcase will feature more than 90 independent games, according to PC Gamer. Badges for the three-day event are on sale through the official PAX Australia website, where the full schedule has also been published.
