PGL has revealed the opening-round matchups for Masters Bucharest 2026, the Counter-Strike 2 tournament that starts on October 24, HLTV reported. Sixteen teams will compete for a $1,250,000 prize pool.
The event opens with a Swiss-format group stage, and eight teams advance from it to a single-elimination playoff bracket.
Among the first-round pairings, Aurora face The MongolZ, who will be playing their first tier-one event with Yesuntumur "nin9" Gantulga on the roster. G2 meet a Natus Vincere side that is still trying to secure a berth at the Singapore Major.
Nemiga are also chasing a Singapore Major place, and HLTV said a playoff finish in Bucharest would seal it for them. FUT will debut their new AWPer, Álvaro "SunPayus" García, at the event.
